i• Lukas Rosol lifted his first ATP World Tour trophy and became the third first-time winner this season, joining Bernard Tomic (Sydney) and Horacio Zeballos (Vina del Mar).i
i• Rosol dropped just one set during his title run (second round versus No. 3 seed Andreas Seppi).i
i• The Czech is projected to rise to around a career-high Emirates ATP Ranking of No. 36 on Monday.i
i• Guillermo Garcia-Lopez was contesting his first tour-level final since October 2010.i
i• Both players defeated three seeded opponents en route to the final.i
i• During the on-court trophy presentation, Rosol dedicated the title to his father, who passed away 10 days ago.i

Lukas Rosol: “It could not be better this week. I came here from a full two weeks of practice. I didn’t know what to expect of myself. So I’m pretty satisfied with this result… I will remember this week. It was very emotional for me and is something special. I found a way to beat some good players and succeed.”i


On what winning the title means: “I wanted to dedicate this trophy to someone, so I found the energy. I felt somebody was helping me from up top. It’s not just about me. My family has always supported me and my tennis. I felt match after match, my dream was coming true.”i


Guillermo Garcia-Lopez: “Today, I couldn’t play my game. I didn’t have enough power anymore. At the end, he was playing better than me.”i
