Doubles - Final
i[4] X Malisse (BEL)/F Moser (GER) d. [WC] L Hewitt (AUS)/M Matosevic (AUS) 60 67(5) 10-4

i• World No. 13 Milos Raonic won his fourth ATP World Tour title. He won all 39 of his service games this week, facing just one break point.i

i• Raonic became the first player to win three straight Bay Area tournament titles in the Open Era (since 1968) and the first since Tony Trabert from 1953-55.i

i• During his three-year run at the event, Raonic won all 24 sets he played.i

i• Xavier Malisse and Frank Moser captured their first team title. Malisse successfully retained the crown, while Moser collected his first ATP World Tour trophy.i

i• This was the final edition of the SAP Open. The tournament ran for 125 years since its inception in 1889.i

Milos Raonic: “It’s pretty awesome. It’s pretty special. It’s more than just the trophies that I have. It’s the little things that come with it. There was always the maple syrup story. The San Jose Sharks jersey. It all means a lot. With this event, that has had so many great champions, it’s pretty special. To sort of one-up it and three-peat is pretty awesome.”i

On the improvement of his all-around game: “Today, I’m more of a complete player. I was able to put pressure on him in most of his service games. I was able to hold quite handily, which I’ve shown I can do in the past. I was able to create pressure every game. It wasn’t just one game. I was getting to a lot of deuce games.”i

Tommy Haas: “There was nothing I could have done. I didn’t play a bad match. I just came up against a guy who played phenomenal tennis today. He didn’t give me any looks on his serve. All the credit to him for that. He served extremely well. He has a lot of confidence. He took risks when he had to and got rewarded for it. That’s his game and that’s what makes him so tough.”i

Xavier Malisse: “We couldn't do anything wrong until 4-0 in the second set. Everything was going well. I knew it was an important game when I lost my serve. They started playing better and making a lot of returns. Luck turned a little bit to their side, so it can go quickly. But we fought hard. I’ve had some good times here, so it’s been a nice ride.”i

Frank Moser: “It feels so nice. I was having so much fun playing with Xavier. I'm just really happy. I lost three times [in a final before] and I didn't want to lose another one.”i
