i• Guillermo Garcia-Lopez triumphed for his third title in six finals and first since topping Jarkko Nieminen on the hard courts of Bangkok in 2010.i
i• Garcia-Lopez extended Spain’s recent run of dominance in Casablanca, joining Tommy Robredo (2013), Pablo Andujar (2011-12) and Juan Carlos Ferrero (2009) as the fourth different Spaniard to emerge victorious in the past six years.i

i• The 30 year old becomes the fourth over-30 winner on the ATP World Tour this year, taking home $77,315 and 250 Emirates ATP Rankings points. He is projected to ascend to the Top 40 for the first time since 2011.i
i• Granollers was bidding for his fifth career title and fourth on clay. i


Garcia-Lopez: "I'm very happy to win this title. I know Marcel for a long time. We practise together in tournaments. The match was really close."i

Granollers: "It was a tough match for both. I think we played solid and I made a few mistakes. I didn't deserve to win the title...It was a big battle today and unfortunately I didn't win the match.i
