Tomic rallied to win the game, but asked umpire Cedric Mourier to remove his dad during a break.

When the official warned the youngster about coaching from the stands, the world no.38 admitted: 'He's annoying. I know he's my father but he's annoying me. I want him to leave but how's that possible?'

When Mourier asks him what will happen if he asks his father to leave, Tomic said: 'It's not gonna happen. If you see him (coaching), tell him to be quiet.'

Mourier replies: 'He (John Tomic) knows already. I caught him (coaching) already.' He then issues a code violation warning for illegal coaching, prompting Tomic to say 'thanks'.

Following the defeat, Tomic denied requesting to have his father removed and claimed that he was asking John to have his racquets restrung.
