Tennis crowd-pleaser Bahrami set to star on Legends Day in Liverpool

The madcap French-Iranian Mansour Bahrami, a veteran of the senior's circuit, will appear at Liverpool's Legends Day on Sunday 24 June - the day before the start of Wimbledon.

Tournament Director Anders Borg said: "Our Legends Day is always a great day with lots of entertainment, and we're delighted that Mansour will be involved again this summer for our Olympic celebration year, and for what is shaping up to be a really fantastic line up.

"Be it playing whilst sitting down, or his infamous drop shot with so much backspin it bounces back over the net, Bahrami always puts on a spectacular performance and really wows the crowds."

Mansour Bahrami added: "I'm really looking forwards to returning to Liverpool again this year, and to being in the midst of the summer's Olympic celebrations in this wonderful city."

The tournament, now in its eleventh year, takes place over six days with a two-day junior event following by the four-day main tournament event from June 21-24. Organisers hope to attract 25,000 spectators. Last summer's event included Martina Navratilova, Martina Hingis, Greg Rusedski, Martina Hingis and Richard Krajicek.
