i• Delbonis, who beat Roger Federer in the semi-finals, was attempting to become the seventh first-time winner on the ATP World Tour in 2013.i

Fabio Fognini: "It's an amazing week. I can't believe it right now. I just feel incredible, a real good sensation. I'm very happy. I was, I think, a little bit lucky. I was nervous. Today, I didn't play really good, but I fought hard. I think that was the key. Another trophy, that’s the important thing. I want to enjoy [this] as soon as possible and fly to Umag tomorrow, [where I] have another chance to play."i

Federico Delbonis: "I tried to do my best on the match points. I don't know if I played bad. I tried to do my best on the three points. But Fabio also played well on these points. To lose the final with match points is disappointing. But at the end of the week, the result of all the week is positive or me. It's my first final. I beat Roger [Federer] yesterday [in the semi-finals]."i

i• Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski won their first ATP World Tour doubles title for 14 months. They improved to 14-22 in tour-level finals after lifting their first trophy since May 2012 at the Mutua Madrid Open.i

Mariusz Fyrstenberg: "We were a little bit lucky. We are very happy as in the past, when we have competed here we have won just two matches. So to win four in a row, especially after my injury, is great."i

Marcin Matkowski: "It is great, especially after Mariusz has been out for a while. We beat one of the hardest and best teams on tour in Alex and Bruno. It was very tight and we got a bit lucky at the end. You need luck to win tournaments and we’re very happy."i
