stanislas wawrinka didn't have any matches under his belt since bringing home his 1st major title.thats always a big trouble for a player.you havent played for a long time ,then you enter a prestigious tournament like masters 1000 and when you are in trouble in a match ,nerves will get the better of you.that's natural.

esp if you are rafa nadal.he always admit the fact that he needs a lot of matches to play his best tennis.federer is an exception.he can enter a tournament without playing for a while and then win it!though in recent years this hasn't always be the case.

novak dropped yet another set.one thing i really hate about cilic is his lack of consistency during a match.he can't keep playing his best in a best of 3 or 5 sets esp against the top boys.

he had a set to the good and was 5-2 ahead in the second against murray at us open 2012 where murray won his maiden GS title.then the lack of confidence cause him to lose in 4 sets and never play his best tennis anymore.

tommy haas usually plays his best tennis on north American hard-courts.no doubt he eased past novak las year at miami 64 62.and was playing some good tennis here beating kei nishikory who is another good player on north american hard courts(has claimed Memphis title for the last 2 years,though memphis is now 250 this year) so credit to federer for beating the german in straight sets.

haas is not old!on the contrary he is very young.the reason?because he has been injured for so many years during his career .as a result his body hasnt experience the strains e.g rafa and roger have sustained during all these years.

roger's not old too!the reason?hopefully he finishes his service games and matches in a blink so thats why he has flourishe an injury free career.rafa?he needs 10 minutes to finish his service games on hard courts let alone on clay matches!for me he is older than roger,and his tendon and incessant injuries signifies and testifies this fact.though he has been out of the tour on two ocassion first on 2009 and of course the famous seven month injury.so he has had his own leisure times and breaks.

after coming back from his injuries in 2009 which cost him not to be able to defend his title at sw19,he came back strongly and claimed 3 back to back slams the next year and the only time in his career.so a break a resuscitating rest and a more powerful rafa.

this could be even more reinforced by the fact that after that seven month injury he came back and won 10 title and was able to play at minor clay court titles like brazil and chile open for the first time in recent years.so much more fresh than before.

and again another proof is his success at winning triple title at us open series and hat tricking them since andy roddick did.because rafa lost his 1st round match at wimbledon and that was proved to be a blessing for rafa.since he had a good rest for the first time at this particular period and he was fresh for the us open series.

always at that period he had played a lot of back to back clay court matches plus wimbledon but this time he lost his 1st round match and for the first time he was fresh for the rest of the season

he plays a physical tennis in contrast to his nemesis,roger who plays a quick ping pong style of tennis.thats why roger's still fresh and rafa is starting to be diagnosed with more problems in his body(the back the most recent one)just like a car if he undergoes diag scrutiny !he will be diagnosed with lots of troubles.again he had a tough seasin last year so it seems he needs another break to see him come back at 2015 to claim 10 more titles!

years of phisical battles have caused world number one very rickety despite his muscular sttrong body.

thats the reason that maybe rafa hangs his tennis racquet sooner than roger.who knows so if you are a rafa's fan dont insist on roger's retirement,your own hero may kiss the court sooner than the veteran swiss legend.

isner plays his best tennis at the north american hard courts his record last season is a proof to this fact.he is in front of the fans and very motivated and the fans dont support novak like roger so novak could be in trouble.

in 2012 the atmosphere was hellish for novak in his semi-final match against isner but for roger it was a different scenario.as a global fan favorite the final saw even the fans favoring maestro.
