i• The Spaniard kept rising in the first half of 2013, reaching her first WTA semifinal at 's-Hertogenbosch and back-to-back fourth rounds at Indian Wells and Miami, and nearly breaking the Top 50. Garbiñe Muguruza: “I can’t explain in words how happy I feel,” Muguruza said during the trophy ceremony. “Last year I was injured for six months and it’s amazing to be here.”i


i"I didn't expect to win a lot of matches in the second tournament of the year, but I knew that I'd just worked so hard before," Muguruza said. "When I was at home I was thinking to myself, 'If I go to the tournament I'm going to fight so much,' and that's what I did. I was like a big bull out there."i
