i• Caroline Wozniacki captured her first WTA title of the year — and the 21st of her career — at the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open.i
i• She will now head to Istanbul, where she is the first alternate.i
i• It was Wozniacki's second time playing the final here — she barely lost to Elena Dementieva in the final here in 2008, coming within two points of winning that match.i
i• The Dane now has 21 WTA titles to her name — three in 2008, three in 2009, six in 2010, another six in 2011, two in 2012 and now one in 2013.i
i• The 19-year-old Beck, who was playing the first WTA final of her career, was very gracious in defeat.i

Caroline Wozniacki: "I know there are a lot of Germans here so you probably wanted Annika to win today, but she had such a great week and she'll have many more finals to come," Wozniacki said. "Annika, you're a great player and a great fighter, and most of all you're a great person and fun to hang out with off the court. Your team is very nice too. Just keep working hard and I'm sure we'll have many more finals in the future.i


i"Thank you to all the fans who came out all week. This is a great event — we all love playing here."i

Annika Beck: "Caroline and I practiced once here and I was very nervous, and I was nervous today too!" Beck said. "But I never expected I'd be here until Sunday. I had a great week and played some great tennis, but Caroline was just too good today. When I lost my serve at 3-2 in the second set I tried to stay calm but she was playing great, so congratulations to her. She really deserved to win the tournament."i
